Although Mexico has a strong economy, more than 50% of the Mexican population live in poverty conditions and does not have the economic means to buy or build adequate housing. 59.13% of the population earns less than $5 per day. 12 MILLION people may not have access to education, potable water, adequate housing and/or basic services.
Typical Volunteer Tasks:
Volunteers work on complete home construction. Some of the construction activities for the volunteers are: • Moving and compacting dirt • Make concrete mix • Make mortar mix for the floor, roof and the blocks • Compact flooring • Mix mortar • Lay bricks (When able)
