  • What are the age requirements? Must be 18 and older
  • What are the payment requirements? To reserve space on a trip, a non-refundable $100/person deposit is due when you register. Final payment is due 15 days before departure. If you cancel your registration prior to the final payment due date, your deposit is non-refundable but any additional payments you have made up until that time are refundable. Once you have paid your final balance and are within 14 days of your trip, all money is non-refundable. If Love in Action Travel makes the decision to cancel your trip due to inclement weather or political unrest, we will reschedule you to a different trip or refund your fees.
  • What travel documents are required? All U.S. citizens need a valid passport to enter a foreign country and return to the United States. It must be valid six months beyond your intended stay and have 1-2 blank pages remaining. Most countries do not require a visa. If a visa is required, we will notify you.
  • What type of meals are included? Most meals will be provided by our ministry partners, who have been carefully trained to prepare safe and nutritious meals for our teams. You will get a taste of local food on all of our trips, and some locations will include American food as well.
  • Are international trips safe? The safety of your group is a top priority for us, as we’re sure it is for you. In all the areas we serve, we take extra precautions to make sure you or your group is as safe as possible. Guided by our local, experienced ministry staff partners, we avoid situations that are inherently dangerous. We’re also proactive by choosing lodging facilities and transportation that are safe and reliable.
  • How hard is the work we will be doing? While some mission trips are more physically strenuous than others, most international trips will include at least four 8-hour service days in hot and humid environments. Your group can work at the level of physical exertion in which they’re comfortable. We recommended visiting your doctor prior to your trip to make sure you are physically-capable of engaging in a week of manual labor in this type of environment.
